Biography: Dr. Evans is a health services researcher with the focus of her research and scholarly activities in children's mental health. Although her primary appointment at the University of South Florida is as Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Doctoral Study at the College of Nursing, she serves as Principal and Co-principal Investigator for two studies of the Research and Training Center for Children's Mental Health, as well as other initiatives. Appointed in 1997, Dr. Evans provides a spectrum of research consultation and serves as a mentor/role model to researchers as they seek funding and publishing opportunities. A nurse and sociologist, her program of research is focused on children's mental health services and intensive family support services.
