Synopsis: Preliminary results from a study of trauma among children and families enrolled in Maine’s Trauma-informed System of Care are presented. The prevalence of trauma experiences and symptoms among participants is high among both children and their caregivers. The intergenerational effects of trauma, and how they correlate to child and family outcomes, are explored. The implications of these findings for System of Care development are discussed.
