Synopsis: In 2001, federal research funding (DHHS #90-CO-0960) was awarded to conduct an in-depth study of domestic special needs adoption youth. A rigorous and comprehensive chart review of 362 consecutively referred special needs adoption cases from 1997 to 2005 provides one of the most accurate profiles of both special needs adoption children and their biological mothers to date. Implications regarding cross system service planning and the emotional and mental health needs of domestic adoptees will be discussed.

Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Session Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
