Synopsis: Exploratory factor analyses of the Ohio Scales, based on a large sample from California Children’s System of Care counties, reveal that the Ohio Problem scale measures three subscales: Externalizing, Internalizing and Delinquency. Cronbach’s alphas, correlations with the CAFAS, relations to risk factors show the subscales are reliable and valid. However, CFA indicate the three-factor model does not fit the data well. Revision of the scale may increase its utility for outcomes research and program evaluation.
