Synopsis: Much of the LGBTQI2-S focused research today has been deficit and problem based. This discussion will focus on asset-based research (i.e., resiliency, social support models, cultural competence capacity models, participatory research), utilizing a public health approach within a system of care to meet the needs of youth and other family members who are LGBTQI2-S and their families. Discussion will also include a trauma-informed curriculum and promising programs meeting the needs of youth who are LGBTQI2-S.
