Synopsis: Processes and outcomes from the Massachusetts Family Networks initiative demonstrate how collaboration between a state child welfare agency and a community-based children's mental health agency can play a significant role in establishing a system of care that benefits families and children by increasing family and community involvement in insuring the safety and stabilization of children with emotional and behavioral challenges in the least restrictive, most normative settings possible.
