Synopsis: Multilevel modeling was used to examine the characteristics of children who received recreational, child support or family support services through the Children's Mental Health Initiative, and then to determine the association between these support services and children's internalizing and externalizing problems. Data on a random subsample (n=1363) of children, ages 5-17 years, were obtained from caregiver report and the Child Behavior Checklist. Results are presented and implications of findings are discussed.
