Synopsis: This paper will present findings of the BIG SKY (Bridging Information Gaps in Services for Kids and Youth) Study. The study identified some of the individual, family, and systems-level factors and circumstances that impact the medications, and services that children in the child welfare system receive. This mixed methods study was conducted in two sites in Florida and included analysis of Medicaid claims data, chart reviews, and interviews of youth and child welfare system personnel.
