Synopsis: The health field is in need of new strategies that can transfer evidence-based knowledge, support practice change and impact health outcomes. This study reports on a pilot evaluation of a CoP that was purposefully developed to support practitioner uptake of the CAFAS measure of functioning. Practitioners were randomly assigned to a CoP or practice as usual condition to support their use of the CAFAS tool. Results provide encouraging findings for the utility of this strategy in supporting practice change and knowledge uptake.
