Synopsis: This presentation describes the process whereby standard MST developed for serious juvenile offenders (Henggeler et al., 1998) is being adapted for other challenging clinical problems and eventually transported to community-based MST programs. Pertinent clinical problems include problem sexual behavior, psychiatric problems, juvenile diabetes, HIV, child abuse and neglect, transition age youths, and others. The progression begins with adaptation pilot studies >> efficacy trials >> effectiveness trials >> transportability pilots >> mature transport >> proactive dissemination
