Synopsis: The San Francisco System of Care has developed an integrated database to share mental health, child welfare, and juvenile probation information. This presentation provides a guide for database development and presents findings from a study using it to examine 1,083 youth who “cross over” into all three systems and later commit a serious crime. Of these, 556 committed a serious crime and a third crossed over prior to committing the crime, raising the possibility of intervening when cross-over is detected.
