Synopsis: The transition to kindergarten can be overwhelming for children and families, particularly when children have emotional/behavioral challenges. Mental health services and supports provided by key early childhood and school personnel help ensure successful transition. This paper discusses the process and outcomes of an organizational level intervention designed to strengthen the mental health components of two community-based early childhood centers. Findings regarding the effectiveness of the intervention will be discussed.
