Synopsis: This presentation focuses on the critical need for enhancing linkages between systems of care, mental health and education. School environments can be a critical protective factor or can intensify risks for all children and youth. A facilitated discussion will engage participants in examining key questions regarding mental health, system of care and education. The presenters provide background and information about current initiatives at the federal and state levels as well as resources on evidence based practices to guide their work in the area of school mental health.
