Synopsis: Mental health agencies are striving to provide integrated, evidence-based care, despite limited finances and resources. A train-the-trainer approach is a viable option in moving toward disseminating evidenced based research in a cost effective manner. The Hamilton County Family Violence Prevention Project utilizes a train-the-trainer approach in their Children Who Witness Domestic Violence Initiative. To measure the approach’s effectiveness, pre- and post-tests were conducted and results revealed that the trainings met all objectives and participants were active in implementing violence prevention activities.
