Synopsis: This presentation will present an overview of key challenges in collecting and sharing data across agencies in the course of a multi-site, multi-systems evaluation of a publicly funded wraparound services program. Drawing from our experiences in coordinating and managing an evaluation with cross system data from 5 child serving public agencies, we will examine: (a) creation of secure data transfer systems between agencies; (b) data ownership issues; (c) Federal confidentiality certificates: Who needs one and why; (d) balancing agency interests in health care operations vs. university interests in research; and (e) collaboration between state agencies, the managed care Medicaid carve-out and the university.
