Synopsis: This discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Robert Franks, director of the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice(CCEP) in Connecticut. CCEP is a unique partnership between two major academic institutions in Connecticut, the Yale University Child Study Center and the University of Connecticut Health Center and two major Connecticut state agencies, the Department of Children and Families and the Court Support Services Division of the Judicial Branch. Dr. Franks and colleagues will review the history of implementation of Multisystemic Therapy (MST) in the the state of Connecticut over the past five years and review recent outcome data. Currently there are 25 MST teams providing services across the state. Through the process of implementation, stakeholders have encountered barriers, successes and a variety of lessons learned that will be shared with the attendees. Lessons learned in Connecticut can provide important insights and guidance for other states engaged in state-wide implementation of evidence-based practices. The discussion will hope to facilitate sharing of experiences and ideas that will help inform systematic processes for implementation of evidence-based practices nationally.
