Synopsis: This presentation highlights the action steps of school-based mental health providers across three sites in Maryland, Delaware, and Texas to improve the quality of service delivery. Findings reflect a subset of data from the first year of a multiyear project comparing a Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) and a Staff Wellness intervention. QAI clinicians have developed and carried out a series of action steps related to principles reflecting a vision of best practice in school mental health. This process of quality improvement is detailed, with concrete examples of steps taken to improve mental health services for youth in schools.
