Synopsis: Increased consumerism in health care and the benefits of well-informed patients have led to increased demand for translating knowledge about children's mental health problems for delivery to children, youth, and their parents. Despite parental reports of a strong preference for more information, utilization of this information is low. We will report on a quantitative study that examined parent preferences for health information, and the application of the findings to develop a nationwide project to provide high-quality information to health care professionals and parents.
