Synopsis: The statewide implementation of a routine early identification and intervention process to screen, assess, and treat the mental health needs of children and families in the child welfare system is a collaborative model of cross system planning, service implementation, and monitoring. Families and the multiple systems serving children have planned and are implementing this process. Monitoring and quality improvement will involve sharing of data across three system's databases: child welfare, Medicaid, and mental health with data analysis by Indiana University.
