Synopsis: Baby FAST is a research-based, multifamily group prevention program for infants (0-3). The program builds and enhances the relationships of young parents in eight weekly meetings with each other, their baby, one supportive adult, the new fathers, and child-serving community agency professionals. The activities fit the developmental needs of the infant and adult program participants, and are designed to reduce risk factors and build resiliency. This presentation will focus on the findings of the evaluation of the Baby FAST cycles conducted between 2002 and 2004 (153 families) and the findings of reduced stress experienced by young parents and their support persons, improved family relationships and social support.
