Synopsis: Ontario's system-wide screening and outcome measurement represents key building blocks for service quality improvement and promotion of evidence based practices. The sector's readiness for organizational change was studied because it is essential for realizing the potential of this investment. Executive Directors and clinical staff from 80 children's mental health organizations were surveyed about research utilization, readiness for change, and use of evidence-based treatments. Results showed group differences in the sources of pressure for change, perceived lack of appropriate space for conducting group treatments, lack of clarity regarding computer literacy and access, discomfort with change and high levels of job stress.
