Synopsis: Local communities often face difficulties when attempts are made to apply research and best practices to community initiatives. The One Community Partnership SAMHSA project in Broward County Florida was faced with the task of implementing a high fidelity wraparound philosophy into an existing system. Local leaders identified barriers and utilized a Six Sigma approach to managing complex change. This session will focus on the process that was successfully used to bring this initative to fruition. The presenter will identify the need to link Vision, Skills, Incentive, and Action Plan to avoid Confusion, Anxiety, Slow Change, Frustration and False Starts.
