Synopsis: The Hawaii Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division has explored numerous strategies for promoting large-scale dissemination of evidence-based services. One recent initiative involved coding the evidence-based services research literature for common elements of practice and simultaneously implementing monthly treatment summaries through which providers describe their interventions using the same practice element codes. This presentation describes the similarities and differences between the practice profiles obtained from the evidence-based service literature review and the practice profiles describing actual care provided for the four key target areas of attention problems, anxiety and avoidant behavior, depressed and withdrawn behavior, and disruptive behavior.
