Presentation Type: topical discussion

Synopsis: This topical discussion will focus on the work of three federally supported system of care grant communities. Information will be shared by family and evaluation representatives from Allegheny County, PA, Travis County, TX and Hillsborough County, FL. Funded in 1998 in large county settings, presenters will share lessons learned from evaluation and will discuss how data were used to guide decisions. Best practices will be shared about successfully redefining the role of family members in evaluation activities and strategies to sustain evaluation after the end of federal funding. ORC Macro staff will discuss how best practices are incorporated for future grantees.
