Synopsis: A comprehensive review of the implementation evaluation literature pointed to the critical role played by a few essential components. These are staff selection, staff training, staff coaching, staff fidelity assessments, program evaluation, and facilitative administration. These factors, the data supporting each, and their direct relevance to implementation success will be presented.

Synopsis: The National Implementation Research Network has just completed a comprehensive review of the international literature regarding implementation of well-defined practices and programs. This symposium will present some conceptual frameworks to help understand implementation factors, evaluation data related to key implementation factors, and recommendations for applying this knowledge to current efforts to make use of evidence-based practices and programs nationally.
