Synopsis: This presentation summarizes an analysis of family perceptions of service use and extent to which their needs were met. A secondary analysis was conducted using data collected in the National Evaluation of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program. Findings show at one point in time what types of services were most frequently reported as being used, how useful these services were in meeting the needs of children and families, and factors associated with met needs. Results yield implications for shaping research and policy as the field moves forward in developing evidence-based interventions.
