Synopsis: Children with severe emotional disturbance (SED) are more likely to have involvement with the juvenile justice system compared to other children who do not suffer from any emotional disturbance. A systems of care that provides comprehensive coordinated services among all child serving agencies help meet the complex needs of children with SED and improve their community functioning and reduce their juvenile justice involvement. The purpose of this presentation is to examine what factors attribute to children's involvement in juvenile justice system while receiving services from a systems of care.
