Synopsis: The purpose of the topical discussion is to review key issues related to advancing quality assessment and improvement (QAI) in school mental health, and to present a conceptual framework for building QAI efforts based on a set of principles and indicators for best practice. Participants will learn about useful tools to assess quality along several dimensions of school-based mental health including clinician performance, service quality, student/parent/staff/principal satisfaction, and student outcomes, and will be given the opportunity to discuss their knowledge of and progress in these areas.
